XSL translates data between XML dialects and also allows the customized display of XML data in the browser. Taught in either a one-day or two-day format, this class offers a full introduction and many hands-on exercises in XML and XSL development.

:: Flexible Layout with XHTML and CSS

Cascading Style Sheets have revolutionized Web site development and maintenance. This one-day class covers not only the technical details of CSS, but also the philosophical discipline required to use CSS effectively.

:: Web Development with LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, Perl)

As the "open source" platform for Web application development, LAMP offers low-cost, high-quality and high-productivity. This course covers the basics and examines several LAMP applications in detail.

:: JavaScript and DHTML

Our first JavaScript class was offered within one month of JavaScript's introduction in December 1995. This class focuses on form validation, expanding and collapsing menus and content blocks, dynamically changing styles and DHTML animation.

:: Web Site Usability

Usability issues include effective navigational models, physical and cognitive fatigue and the balance of effort and rewards. An understanding of these issues will influence and improve every Web page you create. This is a one-day course that will cover these principles and teach you to critique and improve sites.

We will apply the usability principles and guidelines taught by The Web Academy to evaluate your personal, small business or corporate site. This is a very cost-effective way of discovering major and minor problems that can reduce the effectiveness of your site.
