Registrants will have access to up to twenty learning modules or lessons covering the material in The Web Academy's traditional instructor-led classes. This includes all lectures, lab exercises, lists of external resources, etc.
If you purchase the training online using a credit card, you will have immediate access. Otherwise, access will be provided upon receipt of payment. The lessons on HTML are available now. Other lessons will appear shortly. If you purchase the complete package, your registration will be valid until six months after all lessons are online.
This training is entirely self-paced. In each lesson, you will proceed through a series of pages which include examples, explanations, historical background and current industry practices.
A special feature is the Live Example. In class, we've noticed that when an example of HTML is shown on the board or projection screen, there are often questions such as, "What happens if I leave out the spaces?" or "What happens if I misspell a tag name?" With Live Examples, you can modify or "tweak" the code right on the lesson page and then see "what happens" when the new code is displayed in the browser!
The system will keep track of which lessons you've viewed and completed.
A community forum will be available for asking questions of the instructor or for general discussions among participants.
